Competiveness is the priority of all Companies. A lot of
initiatives are oriented to increase margin, however all
of them can be summarized in two big groups: The ones that
reduce internal costs and the ones that increase sales.
The most appropiate form to reduce costs is through process
improvement, giving special attention to those that are
not part of the "core business." The optimization
of basic processes is a common way to improve processes
in modern administration.

· It is charecterized as semi-manual with lack of technology
use.
· Demands a lot of Human Resources.
· Mandates continuos improvement in the amount and
time spent in exceptions resolution.
· Usually contains redundancies.
· Has big gaps in regards of Customer satisfaction
(internal and external).
